Beaches
Here, heading to the sea doesn't require a grand plan. Pašman and Ugljan don't have those glossy beaches you see in travel magazines - and that is our greatest blessing. The moment the sun warms up, you just sling a towel over your shoulder. Whether you stay in Ždrelac or drive along the coast to explore, you will always come across an empty little pier, a smooth rock ledge, or a patch of pebbles tucked beneath the pines.
Beaches of Pašman and Ugljan
Here, the sea never hurries. It comes to you slowly - first at the ankles, then at the knees, then all around you, as if it has known you for years. In Ždrelac, swimming is spontaneous: grab a towel, walk five minutes, and wade in. Matlovac is wide and full of summer life - children, laughter, sun. In Soline, the sand is fine and almost healing underfoot, while the pine forest creates a microclimate that blends the scent of sea and resin. Along the length of Pašman, sandy coves nestle among tamarisk and pine. Banj near Neviđane is especially kind to families - the water is shallow, clear, and tender. Lokva rests more quietly beneath the tamarisk trees, for those who like to read between swims. In Mrljane, your gaze drifts toward Galešnjak, that little heart-shaped island. Cross the bridge and a new coastline opens. Jaz in Preko carries the Blue Flag and offers everything - from sunshades to beach volleyball. Sabuša in Kukljica, sandy with a view of Dugi Otok, hides fifteen minutes' walk from the centre. Mostir draws you to snorkel in crystal-clear water. On Ugljan the sea changes colour, but not its nature - still quiet, still warm, still far enough from everything that for a while you feel as if this is the whole world.
Secrets for those who seek
The best coves don't have a name on Google Maps. Some you reach by kayak, others through olive groves where nobody walks. The southern side of Pašman is wild and cliffy - here the sea crashes into the rocks and carves pools of turquoise that are yours alone. Prtljug in Lukoran is a pebble cove just 40 metres long, with no facilities, no people, nothing but the sea. Just tell us what suits you best - warm shallows with sand under your feet, a smooth rock ledge for a jump into the deep, or that thick pine shade where the best naps happen after a swim. We'll show you the way to a cove where you'll forget about time.
